"Dear Dancers,
I have asked you to participate in Dance with Me because you are my Friends.
Over the years I have made many desperate SOS Phone Calls. Calls made in the throws of self-doubt, frustration, rage and even wild joy, you have been on the other end of phone. Supporting, advising, celebrating or just listening long enough to make plans to meet, talk, have a drink or two and fix stuff. Miraculously we do fix stuff. I return to my studio with new hope and the comfort that I am not alone. I got People. I got You.
Your work is exactly like you: Rare, Opinionated, and Tenacious. These qualities are the threads that bind the works and give this Show its powerful sense of unity and community. Don’t you think it’s wonderful how well our work gets along?
I am so grateful to have such Friends.
Please join me in Celebrating the opening of “Dance With Me” May 11 at Zurcher Gallery, 5:00-7:00pm. Julie Evans has graciously offered to DJ our Raucous Dance Party and Reception. There will be Pizza, Prosecco and of course homemade cookies.
Let’s save a dance for our host, Gwenolee Zürcher. Her generosity in letting us make use of her Gallery is just wonderful.
